Web Content Administrator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Emergint is seeking a Web Content Administrator to provide full-time support to analyze the developmental needs for the structure and content of Web site content including fact sheets, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), pamphlets, briefing packets, presentations, collateral materials, and Web interactive training courses. The primary audience for these materials is public health professionals with background in oral health and dentistry. There will also be significant content developed for consumer audiences. Candidate will synthesize published research articles and ideas from DOH staff and various sources and translate this material to produce creative, engaging health communications materials for both a professional health audience and a consumer audience Tasks include - 1) Providing web development support that includes, but is not limited to, analysis of journal articles, press releases, and instructional and health communications content. 2) Translating results of scientific analyses from large national datasets (e.g., NHANES, BRFSS, PRAMS) as well as other epidemiological studies and other program reports into audience-friendly Web structure and content about oral health trends and developments. 3) Assuring adherence to clearance requirements and clearance issues regarding new and/or updated web content or information. 4) Coordinate with other teams to plan, prioritize, maintain, and update Web content in ways that make creative use of existing resources and new ideas. 5) Coordinating with Web development team on Web design, meta-tagging and assisting with the future Web content management system.
Required Skills:- Proficiency in understanding complex, sophisticated health sciences topics.
- Strong ability to translate and simplify for various audiences.
- Background or experience in instructional design considered a plus.
- Experience with developing information architecture considered a plus.
- A thorough understanding of the Web as an instructional medium.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Some experience with HTML editors helpful.
- Good oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to resolve conflict and work tactfully and respectfully with a wide variety of experts and outside scholars.
- Ability to work independently.
- Background in journalism and marketing considered a plus
- BS/BA required, MS/MA required, [Major: English, Health Ed, Health Comm, Public Health ,Instructional Design]
- Years of experience in lieu of degree
