Scientific Data Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA
A Scientific Data Analyst is needed to support the Behavioral & Clinical Surveillance Branch at NCHHTSP/DHAP. Should have good SAS programming abilities, data management skills, intermediate analysis skills, and moderate statistical programming (not just proc freq, but some regression, and analysis of weighted data). Previous experience as a Data Manager required. The SDA will provide data management and analysis support to include: monitoring data management system; monitor site adherence to data management protocols/procedures; identify discrepancies in data and provide feedback to local study and CDC Personnel; participate in site visits; assist team in planning and coordinating meetings and conference calls related to study activities.
Required Skills:- Good data management, intermediate analysis skills, moderate statistical programming. 2+ years BASE experience.
- Minimum one year experience with MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience and knowledge of advanced statistical procedures (logistic regression, analysis of weighted data).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills.
- BS/BA required, MS/MA desired
- 5-7 Years of experience in lieu of degree
