Scientific Data Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

A Scientific Data Analyst is needed to support National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention/Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention/Program Evaluation Branch (PEB) with coordination of Program Evaluation and Monitoring System (PEMS) activities. The candidate will: 1. Coordinate activities within various information systems and databases in PEB 2. Collect and interpret data within PEB 3. Perform scientific and medical research literature searches and summarization.

Required Skills:
  • Provide high level of expertise in applicable public health disciplines to collect, abstract, code, analyze, or interpret qualitative data contained in public health databases.
  • Must possess exceptional organization skills, able to work independently, and within a team environment.
  • Must be willing to learn and become well-versed in the Program Evaluation and Monitoring System (PEMS)
  • Must have exceptional coordination skills. Must have experience with meeting OMB submission requirements.
Additional Desired Skills/Pluses:
  • Self-starter and detail oriented
  • Background/experience working in HIV/STD Public Health
Educational Requirements:
  • BS/BA required, MS/MA required, [Major: Health Sciences; Public Health related major]
  • 6 Years of experience in lieu of degree
