Implementation Lead / Business Analyst

Emergint is seeking an Implementation Lead / Business Analyst who will be responsible for gathering detailed requirements from laboratory users regarding their work flow and needs for the implementation of a new laboratory information management system (StarLIMS). In that capacity, this person will be responsible for interviewing the laboratorians, creating requirements specifications document from the information they gather from the laboratorians, and collaborating with the vendor/ solution designer or development engineer on the resultant StarLIMS configuration/customization. The successful candidate will be the team leader responsible for dealing directly with lab personnel, learning the detailed configuration of StarLIMS and uncovering lab processes and translating them into the appropriate StarLIMS configuration requirements for each laboratory. The candidate will be the lead person on a team supported by a vocabulary encoder, report writer, data migration specialist and StarLIMS developer for complicated coding within StarLIMS. This position also provides support for meetings that are held with all customer representatives on a regular basis, including participating in developing, coordinating and setting the meeting agenda, arranging for IT connectivity for off site locations, leading the meeting, and email notification of the meeting agenda and notes to the participants. This person serves as a senior member of the StarLIMS implementation team, and will be responsible for training new members of the implementation team in the procedures and processes that are implemented.
Required Skills:- Experienced User Requirements Representative and experience interfacing directly with customers
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and aptitude with IT systems
- Laboratory experience or background within science domain
- Strong analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Experience with StarLIMS and/or any Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Experience working in a lead role with public health IT systems and/or lab automation with public health labs
- BS/BA required, MS/MA desired, [Major: MPH]
- 12 Years of experience in lieu of degree
