Data Analyst III
Location: Atlanta, GA
Emergint is seeking a Database Administrator to work in support of the National Center fro Environmental Health, Division of Environmental Hazards and Health Effects. The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Designing and architecting SQL Server solutions for an N-tier 24x7 high volume production environment
- Manage system issues, upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and replication
- Help lead in the requirements, design, and implementation of projects to enhance the SQL Server platform to meet the ever growing needs of the business
- Configuring/extending the SQL Server Monitoring infrastructure
- Full Lifecycle management of SQL Server implementations in a clustered/replicated environment
- Must have knowledge in the theory and practical application of SQL Server 2000/2005 RDBMS - - Architecture, SQL Server Design, and SQL Programming. Must have experience with SQL Server 2005 (full life-cycle implementations, configuring, replication, clustering, migrations from SQL2000).
- 5 years of experience programming in VB/Perl/Javascript/XML/XSL - 5 Years of experience on MS SQL Server as a programmer and administrator. - 4 Years of programming experience, ability to write database queries and complex stored procedures.
- Sound knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, internal working of SQL Server, and XML based data processing. - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; highly organized. - Must possess great interpersonal skills and a team player attitude. - Experience with Windows x64 platforms is a plus - Working knowledge of Web Applications, MySQL, PHP, HTTP, FTP, ADO.NET, ODBC - 4-year college degree in Information Systems or Engineering
- BS/BA required
- 6 years of experience in Information Systems or Engineering in lieu of degree
