Systems Programmer II
Location: Atlanta, GA
Emergint has a TEMPORARY position for a Business Objects Developer. The responsibilities include but are not limited to report writing, design, development and data access. Candidate should also have a firm understanding of Business Objects version XI modeling and composition tools, and display a very strong understanding of the Java SDKs related to Webi and RAS in addition to the normal Java API. Experience in SQL tuning of medium/large database environments; strong knowledge and adherence of development methodologies, standards and best practice; proven experience in implementing code that performs well in a high volume data environment; ability to assimilate existing code quickly and making improvement recommendations; proficiency at multi-tasking and providing expertise for developers on the project teams; as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work well in a team environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both the business and technical communities. Must be able to demonstrate ability to be productive with minimal supervision. Capable and willing to share technical knowledge with existing staff.
Required Skills:- Business Objects Developer experience. 3+ years of Business Objects Universe Designer experience. Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, ETL, and OLAP. Strong experience with projects involving complex security requirements (row level security) Data modeling experience. Developer with ETL experience preferred
- Maintenance and update of existing reports. General maintenance of Business Objects environment.
- Report writing utilizing Java report panel. Experience with reporting using Crystal reports, Web intelligence Experience with Business Objects XI CMC Security setup. Versions BO XI or 6.x.
- Strong SQL Skills using SQL Server
- Experience with customization of BO a plus
- BS/BA required
- 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree
