Emergint to provide Electronic Syndrome Classification System to Louisville Metro Health Department

(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Emergint Technologies, Inc. (Emergint) announced today a contract award to provide an Electronic Syndrome Classification System to the Louisville-Jefferson County Metro Government. The contract award is part of a larger grant to enhance the electronic disease surveillance capabilities for the Jefferson County Public Health Department.

The Electronic Syndrome Classification System will assist local epidemiologists by providing automated recognition of disease conditions and classifying them into syndrome categories, work that is currently performed manually. The system will be implemented using funds from a CDC grant, distributed through the Kentucky Department for Public Health and will leverage Emergint technology that was designed to collect clinical data for research.

Work will be performed at Emergint facilities in Louisville, Kentucky.
