Emergint Technologies to provide mission-critical information technology services to NCEH/ATSDR
(ATLANTA, GA) - Emergint Technologies, Inc. (Emergint) announced today a contract award to provide information systems services for the National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR). The contract was awarded under GSA 8(a) STARS, the Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services.
Emergints' services will help NCEH/ATSDR facilitate and promote data sharing among internal and external consumers of environmental public health information, as well as provide innovative tools and technology to NCEH/ATSDR staff in the surveillance and intervention of environment-related exposures and health effects. Emergint will provide efficient and secure data management services for spatial and non-spatial data information that will enable NCEH/ATSDR scientific and technical staff to fully utilize Geographic Information Systems and data in their missions to improve the public's health.
Project management consulting services will be utilized to provide critical evaluations and recommendations regarding implementation of emerging technologies. Technical writing services will be utilized to assist the NCEH/ATSDR with completing the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process for internally-developed applications, as required under FISMA.
Emergint will also provide computer system analysis, architectural design and programming support, database administration and development, software testing, group and individual training, hardware configuration and operational monitoring, and comprehensive user support for existing and newly developed software applications related to the mission of NCEH/ATSDR.
