U.S. CDC's Information Technology Services Office awards Sole Source Consulting Services contract to Emergint Technologies
(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Emergint Technologies, Inc. has been awarded a sole source contract to provide Information Technology Consulting Services to the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Emergint will analyze Infrastructure Architecture technology standards, current and target architecture, CDC tactical and strategic business plans as well as CDC and Health and Human Services (HHS) Enterprise Architecture documentation. Emergint will conduct a gap analysis comparing current infrastructure to current documentation and to documented architectural standards in four, focused technology areas of Network, Designated Server Sites, Video Conferencing and Voice Over IP. Emergint will review current infrastructure installation project plans to ensure that they align with CDC and HHS infrastructure architectural initiatives. Upon completion of the analysis and review processes, Emergint will provide ITSO senior management with an executive report of their findings and recommendations for remediation of the infrastructure and technical standards.
ITSO develops and coordinates CDC-wide plans, budgets, policies, and procedures for information technology infrastructure services and provides all IT infrastructure services for the CDC. Emergint will assist ITSO by providing consulting services to improve the effective and efficient use of CDC infrastructure technologies, assets, and services. This performance based - firm fixed price contract was awarded by the CDC Procurement and Grants Office with a period of performance beginning May 23, 2008.
