Emergint to provide IT infrastructure support to Perot Systems Government Services, Inc. for CDC
LOUISVILLE, KY - Emergint Technologies, Inc. is excited to announce that Prime Contractor Perot Systems Government Services Inc. was awarded a contract to provide IT infrastructure support services to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a subcontractor, Emergint will assist Perot Systems in providing performance-based integrated comprehensive support services, which will incorporate all HHS and CDC technical and security standards and requirements.
A significant component of this work will involve projects associated with upgrades and improvements to a variety of IT infrastructure areas such as PC hardware and software installation and support; application server hosting; infrastructure directory services; e-mail; infrastructure software (Microsoft Server 2003/2007, SMS, WSUS); IT infrastructure security; networking; and remote access. Additional areas of support will also include customer service, videoconferencing, project management; technical writing and property inventory.
The CDC is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and is located in Atlanta, GA. It is an organization that "serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and the health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States and throughout the world."1
