Emergint's President and CEO receives Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 award

(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Emergint Technologies is thrilled to announce that Gil Delgado, Emergint President and CEO, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 award representing South Central Ohio and Kentucky! Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs and is celebrating its 23rd anniversary. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge those who have built successful, growing and dynamic businesses from over 135 cities in 50 countries. It recognizes the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.
Drew Chambers, Senior Manager, Audit and Assurance with Mountjoy & Bressler located in Louisville, Kentucky nominated Mr. Delgado for this award. When asked why Mr. Chambers nominated Mr. Delgado, he said "Gil's personal and professional perseverance in pushing Emergint forward embody the true spirit of entrepreneurial drive. He has an attitude of equality among his team and a passion for exceeding his goal. Gil was more than deserving of my nomination for this prestigious recognition of his accomplishments."
An independent judging panel made up of regional business and community leaders initially selected Mr. Delgado as a finalist. On June 24, 2009, Mr. Delgado along with other finalists attended a gala event at the Duke Energy Center, Cincinnati Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio where the winners were revealed. Mr. Chambers stated that Mr. Delgado was shocked and extremely flattered when his name was announced as the winner.
After receiving this award, Mr. Delgado is now eligible to be considered for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 national award. He will join 260 winners from throughout the U.S. at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009. These awards are the culminating event where winners in many categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® award winner will be announced.
