Emergint provides IT consulting support to the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)
(ROCKVILLE, MD) - In September 2009, Emergint was awarded a contract to provide IT consulting services to the U.S. Department of Agriculture/Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). Our team is supporting FSIS in establishing and implementing Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) Governance processes to support the agency's needs in decision making of IT investments and portfolio management. Emergint's Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Tafel indicated, "FSIS is crucial to the safety and health of our nation's supply of meat, poultry and egg products. We are very excited to support this agency in making well informed decisions as it relates to its investments, mission and strategic goals."
