Emergint® to team with SRA for ELISE contract at CDC
(Atlanta, GA) - Emergint Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce our support to the Influenza Division of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease (NCIRD) at CDC, as a subcontractor to SRA working on the Epidemiology and Laboratory Information System Enhancement (ELISE). The project's goals are to strengthen the infrastructure of the Influenza laboratory by improving specimen management and related laboratory processes; link epidemiology and laboratory data for less labor intensive analysis; and develop an influenza information portal (FluPort) to increase the efficiency of sharing data.
For this project, SRA is leveraging Emergint's STARLIMS 10 implementation and support expertise at the Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS) at the National Center for Environmental Health Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR) at CDC. In support of ELISE, Emergint will provide LIMS development, configuration, and implementation expertise, in addition to providing HL7 messaging expertise to interface the LIMS with external sources. As well, Emergint will provide SharePoint design and development support, to develop and deploy the new FluPort portal using SharePoint and other portal technologies.
The ELISE program, in collaboration with NCIRD, and our support of STARLIMS for DLS, further positions our expansion in the laboratory information sciences arena and supporting CDC in their mission of improving specimen management and laboratory processes.
