Emergint® wins EPA IMCS 3 Records Management Task Order for the Office of Air and Radiation

(Rockville, Maryland) - Emergint Technologies, Inc. has been awarded a task order by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the EPA Information Management Center Services 3 (IMCS 3) contract vehicle for the Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), in Washington, DC.

Emergint will provide records management services to OAR, including advising staff members on how to adhere to EPA policies regarding proper records handling, schedules, retirement to and retrieval from the Federal Records Center, as well as arranging and hosting activities for raising awareness within EPA concerning records management issues and approaches. Our services include training and outreach to OAR's staff via various communications, update bulletin and debriefs.

The Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) develops national programs, policies, and regulations for controlling air pollution and radiation exposure. OAR is concerned with pollution prevention and energy efficiency, indoor and outdoor air quality, industrial air pollution, pollution from vehicles and engines, radon, acid rain, stratospheric ozone depletion, climate change, and radiation protection. OAR administers several environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act, the Atomic Energy Act, and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant Land Withdrawal Act.
